The Institute for Mental Health of Children and Youth \u201cMladost\u201d Skopje was founded in 1958 under the name \u201cMedical Pedagogical Counseling\u201d and since 1974 it has been operating as an Institute until today. Since its foundation to date, the Office has envisaged the development of trends in modern medicine and patients\u2019 needs in a dynamic environment and currently functions as the only diagnostic center for autism. It also provides family and individual therapy, conducts categorizations, court expertise and other activities, based on an interdisciplinary approach, in order to improve the mental health and overall psycho-physical well-being of individuals. With its core activity \u2013 the protection and promotion of the mental health of children and young people \u2013 it carries out primary and secondary health care for children from the earliest age, pre-school children, school children, teenagers up to 26 years with their families. With the multidisciplinary team consisting of doctors specialists and various profiles of health care associates, this institution is the only one of its kind in the Republic of Macedonia.
